About the event

David, Brigid, and Other Holy Celts: A Brief Introduction to Sainthood

Friday February 13.

Any devout Christian can be a saint, or holy one, at least in the writings of Paul. But the term Saint eventually came to be reserved for particularly devout, or cruelly martyred, individuals. This talk examines the evolution of sainthood in Christian tradition, with a close look at some Celtic saints of interest. Come prepared to talk about your personal favorites!

Friday, February 13, 12 noon, hosted by Episcopal Church Women, at St. David’s fellowship hall.

Becky Moore, discussion leader.

Bring a sack lunch to eat, desserts and beverages provided.

We acknowledge the Central Coast Salish people, who are the traditional custodians of the land on which we work and live, and recognize their continuing connection to the land, water, and air that we consume. We pay respect to the tribes of the San Juan Islands (Sooke, Saanich, Songhees, Lummi, Samish, Semiahmoo), all Nations, and their elders past, present, and emerging.
